Evan's 2nd Birthday

(I'm only three months late on this one!)

Evan's birthday was a blast.  We kept going between having a big party or just keeping it fun and simple with just the three of us.  We decided to go with fun and simple.  Since his birthday is so close to Halloween we jumped at the chance to bring him to a pumpkin patch for the day.  He really, really enjoyed it.  There was a little petting zoo, a playground, and of course a pumpkin patch full of pumpkins to pick from.  The only downside to the day was, in true Texas fashion, the temperature in the 90s!  It is hard to get in to the fall spirit while you are getting a sun burn.   But, with a lot of water and seeking shade whenever possible we managed!  We then came home and had a little party with cake.  Evan must have had a good time because he completely passed out when it was time for bed!

Aunt Katie sent him his very awesome Birthday Shirt!

Trying to decide if he really wanted to go down the long slide.  He did and then NEVER wanted to stop!

Look at that smile!  I definitely think he had a blast!

Picking out his pumpkin.  He is in deep thought here...it was a tough decision!

I think he found it...

Picking it up.  Deciding...

Yep, this is it!

His "loot" back at home.  He definitely is a very lucky and loved little boy!

Happy 2nd Birthday!

Blowing out his candles.

My favorite part of the day.  I got a Great Big Birthday Hug!

Even a big boy needs to take a nap at the end of a long day!
